UCSD students are integral to the success of the BioBridge programs. A key part of our mission is to bridge the gap between science and education in a manner that is meaningful to students. Bringing undergraduate students together with high school students builds relationships that foster the scientific community on many levels; this student-to-student interface is an important link to uniting science with science education.
The Science Leadership Society canvases the entire BioBridge program, allowing all members the chance to advance through the society, earning skills and opportunities, becoming Science Leaders.
Opportunities include involvement in prestigious events, such as the San Diego Science Festival. You can write or create media for the BioBridge website and have your articles, videos, and podcasts featured and promoted to other science website partners. All members can earn opportunities to coordinate leadership trainings, teaching their valuable skills to others. Active members receive invitations to special events designed to entertain and promote networking.
